Room 104 Codec System

Starting the System

  1. Press the eliptical button at the bottom of the AMX control panel to wake up the screen.
  2. Select the mode that best suits your needs:
    • Left Projector Mode: Activates the system and lowers the left projector screen behind the teaching podium (On the left from the audience perspective.).
    • Right Projector Mode: Activates the system and lowers the projector screen to the right (On the right from the audience perspective.).
    • Dual Projector Mode: Activates the system and lowers both projectors screens.
    • Mics Only: Activates just the microphones. Does not lower either of the projector screens.
  3. The lights in the room are controled by the control panel as well. Select the "Lights" tab at the bottom of the screen, and choose the layout you wish.
    • All On: Turns all room lights on.
    • All Off: Turns all room lights off.
    • Projector: Lights stay on in the seating area, but turns off the pot lights at the front of the room.
    • Lecture: This option can be ignored.
  4. When finished, press the button in the upper right corner of the screen that says "System is on. Press here to turn the system off.

Sharing Content

  1. On the AMX control panel select either Left Screen or Right Screen Source Routing at the bottom of the screen.
  2. On the left side of the screen select what you want to display on the projector screen:
    • Desktop Computer 1: Desktop located in the podium.
    • Desktop Computer 2: Laptop connection (must have laptop connected).
    • Document Camera: Document camera on podium.
    • DVD/VCR: This source is no longer connected. Please use the DVD drive connected to the desktop PC.
    • Video Conference: Tandberg Video Conference system.
    • Courtroom: This source is no longer connected.
  3. On the right side of the screen select what you want to play over the speakers (make sure audio "Linked" button above the volume slider is deselected.):
    • Desktop Computer 1: Desktop audio.
    • Document Camera: Laptop audio.
    • DVD/VCR: This source is no longer connected. Please use the DVD drive connected to the desktop PC.
    • Video Conference: Tandberg Video Conference system audio.
    • Courtroom: This source is no longer connected.
  4. To adjust volume use the volume slider on the source routing page. If unwanted noise or feedback is coming through push the Mute All button on the bottom right of the screen.

Initiating a Call

Initiating a call in room 104 requires the assistance of Law Technology Services. If you need to have a video conference or Zoom connection established, please contact LawTech to arrange for assistance.
