Part Time Student Jobs on Campus

Thanks for your interest in a working with University Support Services (USS). Every year we hire a significant number of Vandal students to help us with a wide array of campus tasks. Most jobs require no prior experience. But if you have a particular interest (like A/V, maintenance, etc.) we’ll do our best to match you up with a related job.

Here is a rundown of what we are looking for this year:

• Lifeguards and WSI Instructors (20 positions) — Working at the UI Swim Center, these positions are part of a fun and supportive team that ensure our pool patrons are safe and secure while they use the facility.
• Campus Events (16 Positions) — Employees in this unit are involved in a wide range of events all over campus. From Convocation to Commencement, Jazz Festival to Finals Fest, these positions are the key to making our UI events great. Working in this unit you will gain significant experience with all aspects of event management.
• Athletic Events (12 Positions) — Employees in this unit assist with all elements of conducting a wide array of Vandal Athletic Department competitions. From assisting with setup to taking tickets, this is a great way to gain experience in athletic events management.
• Building Operations (30 Positions) — Employees in this unit are involved in all aspects of our facility stewardship. Working at the Kibbie Dome, Idaho Commons, Bruce M. Pitman Center and a variety of other facilities, our building operations employees provide custodial, maintenance, attendant services pretty much every day of the year.
