The Department of Soil and Water Systems combines faculty in soil science, agronomy, hydrology, sediment transport, irrigation engineering, waste management and precision agriculture to address resource issues related to soil, water quality and quantity and sustainable food, energy and waste systems.

We also offer a master's degree in soil and land resources. The program is designed to help students be experts about the soil ecosystem and build the research skills to address soil issues.

Soil Science Minor

This minor is offered to students desiring to complement their major with a strong knowledge base in the principles and applications of soil science.

Agricultural Systems Management Minor

This minor is for students interested in gaining knowledge in managing machines and equipment, biological processes, computers and other technologies to create new and improved agricultural systems.
