Majors and Degrees

Undergraduate Programs

Choose from four animal and veterinary science options focused on business, production, dairy and pre-veterinary science. We also offer a bachelor's degree in food science, a cooperative program with Washington State University.

Animal Science Minor

This minor will complement any agricultural or life sciences major. Explore a broad range of animal science topics, including animal production, nutrition, meat science and species science (horse, beef, dairy or sheep options).

Food Science Minor

This minor will provide you with an introduction to the discipline of food science and technology. Broaden your educational background and enhance employment options in the food industry.

Graduate Programs

Choose a specialization in animal growth, nutrition or reproduction in our animal science or animal physiology programs. You'll have opportunities to work with professors who actively conduct research in areas like cloning, breeding, pregnancy, lactation and the health of animals and the environment. In our food science programs, you will gain the advanced technical knowledge and independent research skills to create your own food innovations.
