Animal science
Master of Science
Advance the animal agriculture industry
Innovations in animal science advance animal care, breeding, meat and dairy quality and the sustainability of animal agriculture. A Master of Science in Animal Science prepares you to contribute to these advancements through advanced study and hands-on research, production and other important areas of the animal agriculture industry.
This program will prepare you to develop specialized knowledge in areas such as animal nutrition, reproductive physiology, meat science, animal breeding, muscle biology and growth. You will also gain research experience by designing and completing a thesis project that addresses an important question in animal agriculture.
Much of your learning will take place in our on- and off-campus animal centers and laboratories, where students work directly with livestock and apply classroom knowledge to real-world production and research challenges.
