National 4-H Congress

National 4-H Congress recognizes and promotes excellence in 4-H, held in Atlanta, Georgia each November. Those attending enjoy workshops, cultural events, community service projects and sightseeing.

Delegates

Idaho usually sends 10 to 15 delegates. Applicants must have passed their 14th birthday, but not their 19th birthday, on Jan. 1 of the program year. They cannot have attended National 4-H Congress.

Costs

Funding may offset some costs, but delegates must expect to pay $500 to $800 depending on travel fees.

Application Process

Idaho's 4-H applicants must submit National 4-H Congress Applications through 4-H online portal. Online applications are available May 24 to June 14, 2021.

Online interviews may be scheduled after applications are received. All applicants will be notified by the UI Extension 4-H Youth Development office in June whether their application has been accepted.
