Tuition Payment
Tuition Dates: Tuition is billed in two advance payments. The first payment for Spring 2024 is due Monday, January 22, 2024 and the second payment is due Monday, March 18, 2024. Please note that non-payment of your bill will result in the discontinuing of lessons, group classes and ensembles.
There will be no refunds or prorating for tuition already paid if the student leaves the Preparatory Division in the middle of a semester. The Preparatory Division does not offer sibling discounts.
Payment: Bills and payment reminders will be sent by email. It is possible to pay your bill online on the U of I's Marketplace Account, or by check. Instructions for registration and payment will be included in the email bill.
Please note that non-payment of your bill will result in a late fee of $50.00 and the discontinuing of lessons, group classes and ensembles. Accompanist fees, books, sheet music, and/or other materials requested by teachers are not included in bills.

- 45-minute lessons (at $45.00 per lesson): $630.00/semester

Undergraduate Students with Pedagogy Training
- 30-minute lessons (at $17.50 per lesson): $245.00/semester
- 45-minute lessons (at $26.25 per lesson): $367.50/semester
- 60-minute lessons at ($35.00 per lesson): $490.00/semester
Private lessons with a Suzuki-qualified strings teacher (Bianca d'Avila do Prado, Giselle Hillyer, Inga Kingsley, Cameron MacMillan, Diane Worthey) are $52.00 an hour.
Private lessons with Lionel Hampton School of Music faculty are $60 to $65 an hour depending on the instrument.
Suzuki faculty, (d'Avila do Prado, Hillyer, Kingsley, MacMillan, Worthey) give 14 lessons in Fall semester and 16 lessons in Spring semesters. All other teachers give 14 lessons in both Fall and Spring semesters.
