Utility Public-Private Partnership (P3)
The Utility P3 enhances student success, research and recruitment while funding critical upgrades to U of I’s steam plant and utility systems.

The Finance and Planning team helps ensure U of I is financially strong and well-managed. The team leads budgeting, financial reporting and compliance efforts, while also managing the day-to-day financial operations that keep the university running smoothly.
Facilities and operations
DFA Operations ensures regulatory compliance and manages the maintenance and daily operations of campus facilities. These efforts help create a safe, efficient and future-focused environment where learning, research and campus life thrive.
Our facilities team oversees the care and functionality of the university’s indoor and outdoor spaces — including classrooms, laboratories, residence halls, athletic venues and green spaces. From routine maintenance to large-scale renovation projects, they ensure every part of campus is well maintained and ready to meet the needs of students, employees and visitors.

Human Resources
Human Resources partners with the U of I community to foster a diverse, inclusive and high-performing workplace. The HR team supports departments in recruiting and onboarding new employees, managing performance, and promoting employee development. HR also oversees accommodations, leave, benefits, job classifications and processes for separations and retirement.
