Visitor & Vendor Permits

Visitor | $3/day

Available for purchase online or at the Parking Office. Visitor permits are valid in all colored lots until 12:00 a.m. for the date issued. Visitors parking after 12:00 a.m. must have a valid visitors permit for the next date/day. Faculty, staff and students are not eligible.

Retiree | $0

Complimentary permit available to honored or emeritus UI Retirees. Valid in Gold, Red, and Blue lots. Not valid for overnight parking or parking use in disability spaces. Your initial Retiree permit must be purchased in the Parking Office; if you are renewing from the previous year, please do so online.

Service | Prices Vary

Service permits may be used in the following spaces for a maximum of 2 hours: signed service space, meters, timed spaces and regular colored lot spaces; and may be used in a signed Delivery space for 1 hour maximum. These permits are not valid in reserved or disability spaces or areas not designated as parking spaces.

Annual Service permits ($325 for non-UI affiliates) are available by completing the online form.

Temporary Service permits are $3/day for non-UI affiliates and must be obtained at our office. These permits are valid only for the dates printed on the permit.

Delivery | Prices Vary

Delivery permits may be used in the following spaces for a maximum of 1 hour: signed delivery space, meters, timed spaces and regular colored lot spaces. These permits are not valid in reserved or disability spaces or areas not designated as parking spaces.

Annual Delivery permits ($172 for non-university affiliates) are available by completing the online form.

Temporary Delivery permits are $3/day for non-UI affiliates and can be ordered online. These permits are valid only for the dates printed on the permit

Overnight & Early Morning

Overnight | Prices Vary
The Annual Overnight permit is intended for those who reside off-campus and have frequent and routine campus business between the hours of 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. Overnight permits are required for those with a valid Red or Blue permit or for those without an annual permit and is valid for parking in Red, Blue, or Gold lots. Overnight permits are not required for commuters with a valid Gold permit. Gold permit holders may park overnight in Gold lots only. Overnight permits are NOT valid in meters, timed spaces, service/delivery spaces, disability spaces, reserved spaces, campus walkway or an area not designated as a parking space. Parking reserves the right to verify information on the application for an Annual Overnight permit.

Permit is $0 for individuals who hold an annual permit or $15 otherwise. Temporary Overnight permits can be purchased by the day online for $3/day or $0 for individuals who hold an annual permit. Follow the process as you normally would and then select "OVERNIGHTWEB" from the menu.

Early Morning Activity |Price Varies
Allows parking from 5 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. in Gold lot 39, Red lot 24 and Red lot 34. Permit is $0 for individuals who hold an annual permit or $15 otherwise. Purchase information: online form.

ROTC | $15
For current ROTC members; allows parking from 5 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. in Red or Blue lots (excluding Red lot 51). Purchase information: online form.

Others

Vendor | Prices Vary
Annual Vendor permits ($325), One-Day Vendor Permits ($6) and Ten-Day Vendor Permits ($60) are available for work-related use by individuals who provide services to campus but are not directly employed by the university. Vendor permits may be requested by completing the online form.

Vendor permits are valid in the following areas: regular spaces in colored lots (no time limit), designated “Valid Campus Walkway Permit Required” spaces on the campus walkway for 30 minutes, and meters or timed spaces for 2 hours. Vendor permits are NOT valid in service/delivery spaces, reserved spaces, disability spaces and all other areas not designated as a parking space.

Daycare | $15
Available for those who have children attending West Park Elementary, Early Childhood Learning Center or the Child Development Lab. Valid for 15 minutes in all colored lots. Purchase information: online form.

Media | $15
Available for official media personnel. Valid in meters/timed spaces for 2 hours and all colored lots (no time limit). Available in-office only.
