Career Advising Liaison Serving the College of Natural Resources & College of Agricultural and Life Sciences
Wendy Wegner is a rural Minnesota native with a background natural resources, outdoor education, agriculture, and art. She received her associates in Wilderness Management from Ely Community College in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. She completed her undergraduate and graduate degrees at the University of Idaho, focusing on natural resources and anthropology. She is passionate about the outdoors and culturally responsive education. She has presented at several conferences and was awarded a fellowship at the Smithsonian Summer Institute in Museum Anthropology in Washington, D.C.
She has federal experience as an interpretive park ranger at Glacier National Park, and a trail crew member and fire dispatcher for the Gila National Forest. She also has outdoor leadership and education experience creating engaging programs for youth that connect them to natural places.
Using her work, educational and life experiences, she is excited to help students and alumni toward success in their internships, careers, graduate school and future endeavors.
