Faculty and Staff can connect their students with employers and mentors in the classroom or at Career Services events.

Invite Employers to the Classroom

Employers can provide industry insights, career tips, employer-specific information and answer any questions your students may have. Employers and professionals in the field do a great job at bringing topics and jobs to life with real-world examples.

• Handshake
  Access virtual events hosted by employers, as well as on-campus events. Need help setting up an account? Contact careerservices@uidaho.edu for assistance.
• Vandal Mentor Network
  Invite alumni through the Vandal Mentor Network.

Connect Through Events

These are great opportunities for students but also great opportunities for faculty and staff to attend and network themselves.

• Twice a year, once a semester, we host a career fair and networking nights by college. At University of Idaho Career Fair, we have seen up to 200 employers. Many employers also attend Networking Night the night before the career fair for a smaller setting to meet with students in a specific college.
• U of I Etiquette Dinner is also a great place to connect with employers and our students. This event happens every spring semester.
• Join Handshake to view virtual events run by employers that students have access to. This is a great way to stay in the know and inform students about employment and networking opportunities.
