Student Success Program
Housing & Residence Life = Student Success
We invest in our students—ensuring they have an academically successful first year. Our Student Success Program provides in-house resources specifically for students living in the residence halls. Students have the convenience of staying inside their home to find peer mentoring, tutoring, flexible study spaces and a computer resource center.
Our Academic Peer Mentors provide over 40 hours of free tutoring weekly.
Our residents are welcome to attend workshops, proven to help develop successful academic habits. Workshops and study sessions are often presented by our Academic Peer Mentors. Although, campus partners, including the Financial Aid Office, Writing Center and Career Services may also facilitate Student Success Program workshops.
Whether students are seeking help with coursework, wanting to talk with someone about their major, or are needing a large space to study with friends, that can all be found in the Student Success Program, located in the Wallace Residence Center basement.
During the 2019-2020 academic year there were 2,945 visitors to the Student Success Program, 944 event visitors and 254 tutoring visits.
