Renewing Accommodations

Renewing Accommodations

How to renew accommodations in the CDAR Access Portal

Renewing Accommodations Online

Students are encouraged to renew accommodations in the CDAR Access Portal as soon as possible. Some accommodations can take up to four weeks to review and implement. Renewing accommodations early gives CDAR time to navigate any complications that may arise.

  1. Log in - to the CDAR Access Portal - Username and password are your standard UI credentials. You may get a DUO push.
  2. Accept Agreements - Click the bar at the top to expand agreement. Agreements are combined into a single document, scroll to the bottom and click accept.
  3. Select Courses - Check the box next to any courses you need accommodations for. Click "Continue to customize accommodations"
  4. Select Accommodations - Check the box next to accommodations you need in each course. Click "Submit Accommodation Request"

You will receive a copy of your accommodation letter when CDAR emails your instructor.

Changing Accommodations - Please call 208-885-6307 or email cdar@uidaho.edu to schedule an appointment to discuss adjustments to your accommodations.

Schedule Changes - If you make any changes to your schedule in VandalWeb, you will need to repeat the request process in the CDAR Access Portal for new classes, including moving to a different section of the same course.  Added courses can take up to 24 hours to show in the Access Portal. Dropping a class in VandalWeb will automatically cancel any accommodation requests.

At the Center for Disability Access and Resources (CDAR), our goal is to provide services and support to ensure students are able to access and participate in the opportunities available at the University of Idaho.

Students are asked to notify CDAR as soon as possible to discuss disability-related concerns and needs. Call 208-885-6307 or email cdar@uidaho.edu.
