Mario Jimenez Picado

Mario Jiménez is a graduate of the National University of Costa Rica; in the city of Heredia, Costa Rica; where he obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in piano performance and pedagogy. He also graduated with a licentiate’s degree in advertising design from Veritas University. He started piano lessons at the age of 16 and has performed in Carnegie Hall, NY; JFK Center for the Performing Arts, DC; Auditorium of the National Library in Habana, Cuba; among others. He has also received academic awards and won top prizes in international piano competitions. He is currently pursuing his Master's degree in piano performance at the Lionel Hampton School of Music at University of Idaho and serves as the president of the U of I MTNA chapter.
