Benefit Plan Changes
Here's an overview of the 2021 plan year benefit changes:
- Medical and Willamette Dental plan rates will increase
- No rate changes to vision plans
- Dental and/or Vision coverage will be available only if you elect medical coverage.
- You cannot enroll solely in dental and/or vision.
- Standard PPO Plan Changes
- Increased PPO Plan Medical Network Deductible
- Employee-only coverage – $200 increase from $600 to $800
- Family coverage - $400 increase from $1,200 to $1,600
- Increased PPO Plan Prescription Drug Cost-Share Maximum
- Employee-only coverage - $200 increase from $3,775 to $3,975
- Family coverage - $400 increase from $7,550 to $7,950
- Increased PPO Plan Medical Network Deductible
- High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) Plan Changes
- Increased HDHP Plan Medical/Prescription Drug Deductible
- Employee-only coverage - $400 increase from $1,500 to $1,900
- Family coverage - $800 increase from $3,000 to $3,800
- Cost-Share Maximum - No increase in 2021
- Increased HDHP Plan Medical/Prescription Drug Deductible
- HSA Contribution Increase
- Employee-only coverage - $50 increase to maximum $3,600 (employee and U of I)
- Family coverage - $100 increase to maximum $7,200 (employee and U of I)
- VSP Vision Plan Changes
- In-network Eye Glass Frame Allowance
- Frame Allowance - $30 increase from $120 to $150
- In-network Eye Glass Frame Allowance
