The title Rooted: Brave Roots, Bold Futures embodies the spirit and close connection the college has to its roots in agriculture, life sciences, the Vandal Family and the land-grant mission. The name reflects the college’s commitment to honoring its agricultural heritage while empowering students to shape the future of the industry. The goal of this publication is to help readers understand how our roots shape us and allow us to go forth boldly to make positive change.

AGED 424 was created to give students publication and writing experience prior to graduation. By gaining the valuable skills of writing in Associated Press style, interviewing, design and media, students help share the valuable stories and experiences within the college. The publication allows students to build their portfolio while sharing more about the programs and people within CALS.
