    Advancing mathematical and statistical knowledge

    The Department of Mathematics and Statistical Science at University of Idaho provides a dynamic environment for studying mathematical and statistical principles. Our programs integrate classroom learning with hands-on research, offering students opportunities to engage in advanced studies in high demand areas such as bioinformatics, algebra, differential equations, combinatorics and mathematics education. You’ll graduate prepared to lead in academia, industry or government, with the skills and experience today’s employers demand.
