Proof of Enrollment and Degree Verification
The University of Idaho has authorized the National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) to provide both proof of enrollment and degree verifications.
Proof of Current Enrollment
Students may obtain an official enrollment certificate through their VandalWeb by selecting Proof of Enrollment under the Students tab after the beginning of each semester. Students are connected to the NSC website where they may choose either a Current enrollment or All enrollment under the Obtain an enrollment certificate option. A PDF official enrollment certificate is generated that the student may print to provide to a requestor. These certificates are official and nationally accepted for enrollment verifications.
Proof of Future Enrollment
Students needing verification of enrollment prior to the beginning of the semester may print a copy of their Advanced Registration Certificate to provide to a requestor until the official enrollment verification becomes available after the beginning of the semester. The Advanced Registration Certificate is also accessed by selecting Proof of Enrollment under the Students tab in VandalWeb. An alternative is for the student to print a copy of their schedule from VandalWeb.
Enrollment Status Calculation
Enrollment status is calculated as follows for each semester including summer. Enrollment status is different than fee calculation status.
||Three-Quarter Time (Q)
|12+ credits||9-11 credits||6-8 credits||1-5 credits|
|Graduate||9+ credits||7-8 credits||5-6 credits||1-4 credits|
|Law||10+ credits||7-9 credits||5-6 credits||1-4 credits|
Good Student Verification
Students needing verification of good student status for insurance discounts must submit their completed and signed form to the Registrar's Office for processing. The student must sign a release, even if not required by the insurance company, in order for confidential grade point information to be provided. Normal processing of good student discount requests is 3 business days.
Special Enrollment Verifications
Students needing verification for the Alaska Permanent Fund Dividend or international student scholarships must submit their forms directly to the Registrar's Office for processing. To prevent delays in processing, students should be sure to sign their form and provide a complete mailing address. Normal processing of enrollment verification requests is three business days.
Agencies or employers requesting verification of a student's degree or enrollment should request this information directly through the National Student Clearinghouse DegreeVerify service.
The University of Idaho Registrar's Office does not monitor a student's anticipated graduation date nor require students to graduate within a specific time, therefore an anticipated graduation date cannot be independently verified.
Students who need verification of an earned degree should request a copy of their transcript.
