2019 Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival Tickets Go On Sale Nov. 5

MOSCOW, Idaho — Nov. 1, 2018 — Series and individual concert tickets for the University of Idaho’s Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival, held Feb. 22-23, 2019, will be available to purchase beginning Nov. 5 and Nov. 16, respectively.
Series tickets, which allow the purchaser to enjoy both nights of concerts at a discounted price, go on sale at 9 a.m. Monday, Nov. 5. Prices range from $50 for outer stand seats to $80 for club-level seating. Series ticket purchasers receive early seat selection and a $10 savings on individual concert ticket prices. Tickets for individual performances go on sale at 9 a.m. Friday, Nov. 16, and range from $30-$45.
This year’s festival, which is hosted by the Lionel Hampton School of Music in U of I’s College of Letters, Arts and Social Sciences, will host thousands of music students from across the region. The evening shows will not only feature world-renowned jazz artists but also highlight daytime student competition winners on the festival’s main stage.
Two of the industry’s best big bands – the Vanguard Jazz Orchestra, a multiple Grammy Award-winning 16-piece orchestra, and the New Lionel Hampton Big Band featuring Jason Marsalis on vibes and special guest Antonia Bennett – will headline the 2019 festival.
Tickets are available through the University of Idaho Ticket Office in the ASUI-Kibbie Activity Center, by phone at 1-888-8-UIDAHO or online at uidaho.edu/ticketoffice. Special youth series and student pricing is also available at uidaho.edu/class/jazzfest/tickets.
All evening concerts will be held starting at 7:30 p.m. in the Kibbie Dome with the lineup as follows:
