Vandals Come Home Oct. 7-14

MOSCOW, Idaho — This year’s Homecoming celebrations at University of Idaho are set for Saturday through Saturday, Oct. 7-14.

The grand marshals of the annual Best Western Plus University Inn Homecoming Parade are U of I alumni Steve ‘71 and Claudia ‘71 Johnson. Steve served as executive director of the Alumni Relations Office from 2007 until his retirement in 2015. Both Steve and Claudia continue to advocate for their alma mater, embodying the values of excellence, service and commitment that define the Vandal Family.

Homecoming activities include:

Saturday, Oct. 7

  • 1 p.m. — Most Vandalized Fan at the Vandal Volleyball vs. Portland State, Memorial Gym. Get tickets.

Sunday, Oct. 8

  • 5 p.m. — Opening Kick-off Event, Tower Lawn

Monday, Oct. 9

  • 2-5 p.m. — Vandalize Moscow window painting, Moscow Friendship Square
  • 2-5 p.m. — Hygiene Drive Information Distribution

Tuesday, Oct. 10

  • 9 a.m. — Vandalize Campus, various locations for decoration judging
  • 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. — Annual Blood Drive, TLC Lounge

Wednesday, Oct. 11

  • 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. — Annual Blood Drive, TLC Lounge
  • 7 p.m. — Vandal Jingles, Tower Lawn

Thursday, Oct. 12

  • 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. — Annual Blood Drive, TLC Lounge
  • 5 p.m. — Hygiene Drive Pick-up

Friday, Oct. 13

  • 1 p.m. — Vandalize Campus, living groups, decoration judging in various locations
  • 3:30-7:30 p.m. — Tap the Keg Brewfest, Dan O’Brien Track and Field Complex. Get tickets.
  • 4 p.m. — Vandal Hockey vs. Gonzaga, Palouse Ice Rink
  • 6 p.m. — Brett Young Concert, ICCU Arena. Get tickets.
  • 8 p.m. — Serpentine begins at U of I Golf Course and goes throughout campus
  • 8:30 p.m. — Vandal Rally, P1FCU Kibbie Dome Parking Lot
  • 9 p.m. — Homecoming Fireworks & Drone Show, P1FCU Kibbie Dome Parking Lot

Saturday, Oct. 14

  • 9 a.m. to noon — Moscow Volunteer Fire Department Annual Pancake Feed and Safety Fair, Moscow Fire Station 1, 603 S. Main St.
  • Noon — Future Vandals Parade, Friendship Square
  • 12:30 p.m. — Best Western Plus University Inn Homecoming Parade
  • 4 p.m. — Vandal Hockey vs. Gonzaga, Palouse Ice Rink
  • 7:30 p.m. — University of Idaho Football vs. University of Montana, P1FCU Kibbie Dome. Get tickets.
