Join the Vandal Marching Band for home football game performance

University of Idaho’s Vandal Marching Band invites you to our annual Future Vandal Game Day on Sept. 19, 2026! This event is open to high school juniors and seniors who want to experience college-level music, academics and university life while visiting the U of I campus.

    Event highlights:

    • Rehearse with the Vandal Marching Band (VMB)
    • Perform with the VMB in the stands at the Idaho vs. Abilene Christian game
    • Enjoy pregame and halftime performances by the VMB
    • Learn about collegiate music ensembles, scholarships and auditions
    • Connect over a pre-game meal, sponsored by the U of I Alumni Association

Your musical journey doesn’t have to end after high school. U of I has a variety of performance opportunities — including concert bands, jazz bands, marching and basketball bands, color guard, symphony orchestras and choirs. Over half of VMB members are not music majors, so you can continue your passion for music no matter your major.
