Idaho Law Review
The Idaho Law Review has been the scholarly voice of the University of Idaho College of Law and a valuable resource for judges, practitioners and scholars around the country since the first issue was published in the fall of 1964. The Review generally publishes three editions each year: a Fall Edition, a Spring Edition and a Symposium Edition. Editions of the Review are available online without a subscription through the Digital Commons platform and through Hein Online, Westlaw and LexisNexis with a paid subscription.
In addition to publishing articles, the Review also hosts an annual symposium on a timely legal topic each year. This symposium brings together legal scholars and practitioners for a day of presentations and discussion.

Submissions are welcome year-round from judges, practitioners and legal scholars on a broad range of legal topics. Articles may be submitted electronically via email to review@uidaho.edu or via Scholastica.

Idaho Law Review Symposium
The Idaho Law Review Symposium is an annual event hosted by the University of Idaho College of Law that has provided a scholarly forum for over 40 years. It brings together scholars, practitioners and judges from around the country to discuss compelling legal issues and topics, culminating in a dedicated Symposium Edition of the Law Review.
The student-run symposium focuses on timely and complex issues, often exploring local, regional and national legal changes and offers continuing legal education credits to professional practitioners. Topics vary annually, covering specialized areas like Idaho water law, public defense system reforms and other, broader legal topics.
The symposium is traditionally held in April at either the Moscow or Boise law school locations, with the topic and a call-for-papers announced in November or December of the previous year.
The 2026 symposium, “Justice for All: Systemic Transformation of Public Defense,” was held April 13, 2026, in Boise and via livestream for more than 230 attendees. Planning for the 2027 symposium is underway. Details will be shared on this page as available.
