Law libraries
The law libraries in Moscow and Boise support the educational and research needs of the College of Law faculty and students. We also welcome members of the public to use library resources for their research needs. As a Federal Depository Library, we provide public access to government documents as guaranteed by federal law.

Idaho Law Review
The “Idaho Law Review” has been the scholarly voice of University of Idaho’s College of Law and a valuable resource for judges, practitioners and scholars around the country for more than 40 years. Operated exclusively by students, the “Review” publishes three editions each year that are available in print and online through Hein Online, Westlaw, LexisNexis and on our website.
Community support and trainings
At the College of Law, you’ll engage with professional communities — including journalists, judges, legal practitioners, educators, tribes and government agencies — through institutes, workshops and training sessions focused on legal research, processes and reporting.
Legislature Research Assistance Program (LRAP)
Support Idaho legislators through LRAP’s research and writing projects while gaining valuable experience and pro bono opportunities during the legislative session.
Idaho Journalism Institute
Gain essential insights for covering Idaho’s courts. This one-day institute invites journalists and reporters to explore the rule of law, judicial independence and ethical court reporting.
Jurist in Residence
The Justice Alfred Budge Visiting Jurist Program was created to strengthen the connection between the Idaho Judiciary and University of Idaho’s College of Law. This program funds travel and other expenses to bring a justice or judge to campus for scholarly, collaborative and teaching activities.
As a participant, you’ll have the opportunity to share your knowledge with law students, offer insight into the workings of the Court and help foster a deeper understanding of the judicial system.
