Brooke Blevins, dean of the College of Education Health and Human Sciences, and her team meet about the Vandal Early Literacy Symposium on Friday, February 24, 2026. Supported by the Garth and Frances Reid Literacy Initiative, the Vandal Early Literacy Symposium is a unique professional learning opportunity designed specifically for early literacy teachers. The three-day literacy symposium is focused on practical instructional strategies grounded in the Science of Reading research. All sessions are focused to help implement best literacy practices in the classroom.

    Celebrating 25 years in Carmen

    Learn about Nancy M. Cummings Research, Extension and Education Center's 25th anniversary event.

    Please join the University of Idaho Nancy M. Cummings Research, Extension and Education Center as we celebrate 25 years as the primary cow-calf and forage research station.

    The center provides land and facilities for beef cattle research at the scale of a working ranch. The center also provides continuing education for those involved in the livestock industry and learning opportunities for University of Idaho students.

    The U of I College of Agricultural and Life Sciences celebrated Parma’s 100th anniversary and learned about vital research and Extension programs that support Idaho agriculture and local communities.
