This is one of the best examples of Collegiate Gothic architectural style in the state of Idaho, but up to this point has not been recognized on the National Register of Historic Places. The U of I district is comprised of many architectural styles, with Collegiate Gothic being one of the most recognizable.
Moscow campus is up for historic district registry
Engineering students and faculty are developing AI-driven automation solutions for Amalgamated Sugar to keep the plant's assembly line from breaking down while adding components to maintain moisture levels in sugar beets, helping the company improve productivity and optimizing both quality and quantity.     Lost Rivers Grazing Academy

    The Lost Rivers Grazing Academy is a four-day workshop offered each year in Homedale for producers who want to increase their forage productivity, animal performance and income. Visit our Facebook page for current information.

    Learn to

    • Design grazing cells
    • Determine appropriate stocking rates
    • Design water systems
    • Design and build permanent and portable electric fences for use under center-pivots and wheel lines
    • Minimize animal stress during handling
    • Stockpile standing forage and draw on animals’ “fat banks” to reduce winter feed costs
    • Create custom-grazing leases
    • Develop a ranch economic plan
    • Enhance grazing-management skills
    • Improve forage and livestock production
    • Increase animal units and net income
    • Improve failing pastures
    • Reduce costs and hours spent fertilizing, harvesting and feeding hay
    • Gain a foundation of knowledge to launch a new livestock operation
    • Sustainably maintain and improve ranch productivity
