Mission & Diversity Statement

Mission Statement

The primary mission of the Counseling and Mental Health Center (CMHC) is to provide mental health-related services to support University of Idaho students in their pursuit of academic and career goals, personal development, and community engagement. Our mission also includes training of future professionals, including postdoctoral psychology residents, doctoral psychology interns, clinical social workers and trainees from other mental health professions.

The CMHC staff fully supports and respects all aspects of multicultural diversity, individual uniqueness, and inclusion. The CMHC staff is committed to creating a safe, affirming and welcoming space for all students to foster their psychological well-being and achievement during their education at University of Idaho. We strive to promote access to mental health and consultative services that are inclusive and respectful of all students, staff, faculty and all members of University of Idaho's community.
