    Get in front of Vandals

In-person recruitment events give you the opportunity to build meaningful connections with Vandal students from the moment they arrive on campus through graduation. By showing up and engaging face-to-face, you create stronger relationships, gain deeper insight into student talent and leave a lasting impression that sets your organization apart.

From career fairs to networking events and classroom visits, these interactions help you meet motivated students across more than 200 areas of study and build connections that lead to long-term hiring success. Expand your presence across Idaho by connecting with students at all four U of I campuses, opening more pathways to grow your talent pipeline.

Want to brainstorm other ways to connect, email careerservices@uidaho.edu.

    Host an on-campus information session

Looking to grow your presence at University of Idaho? These sessions allow you to share job and internship opportunities while giving students a deeper understanding of your organization.

    Event setup and media needs

A staff member will meet you 15-20 minutes before your event begins to assist with setup. We can provide basic media needs, including connections for HDMI and VGA. Many event spaces also have audio.

Make sure to share media needs in advance. It can be difficult or impossible to accommodate day-of.

    Parking

Career Services is pleased to provide a complimentary campus parking permit to recruiters. Our team will contact you with details after confirming your visit.

To learn more about purchasing a Visitor Permit or short-term parking, visit the Parking and Transportation website.

    Food and beverage services

    Exclusivity

Idaho Eats has been contracted by University of Idaho to provide all on-campus food and beverage services. Visit Idaho Eats to view their catering services.

    Ordering

Catering arrangements and menu selections must be confirmed within 10 business days of your event. Sufficient notice allows Dining Services time to schedule production and staffing. An additional fee will be assessed for all orders placed less than 10 business days prior to your event.

Call 208-885-2576 to work with the Catering Office.

    Reservation cancellations

Notice of cancellation for reservations must be received 48 hours in advance. Failure to cancel reservations or no-show occurrences will result in a $25 fee. Additional cost recovery may be assessed for services rendered or equipment prior to the cancellation.

The scheduling office reserves the right to refuse future requests for any group based on multiple no-show occurrences or inappropriate use of space.

    Career Services’ signature events

Career Fair Week and the Etiquette Dinner are two signature events that give you valuable access to Vandal talent. During Career Fair Week, you’ll connect with a large pool of students and alumni ready for internships, co-ops and full-time roles, helping you build your talent pipeline quickly. The Etiquette Dinner offers a more personal setting to engage with students, build relationships and showcase your organization while supporting their professional development. Together, these events help you strengthen your brand and create meaningful connections that lead to successful hires.

    Career Fair Week

Career Fair Week is a multi-day recruiting experience designed to help you connect with Vandal students at every stage of the hiring process. It begins with college and program Networking Nights, where you can engage with students in targeted majors in a more personal setting. The Career Fair follows, giving you access to a broad pool of candidates across more than 200 areas of study. In the days after, on-campus interviews allow you to continue conversations and move top candidates forward, creating a seamless path from first connection to hiring.

    College/program Networking Nights

As part of your fair registration, consider attending any of our College Networking Nights the evening prior to the Career Fair. Networking night events provide students with the opportunity to learn networking, communication and professional skills with company representatives looking to engage with a targeted college-specific audience.

    Career Fair

Recruiting at the Career Fair is your chance to connect with top Vandal talent from a variety of majors. Whether you are looking for full-time employees, interns, co-ops or graduate school candidates, the fair offers a diverse pool of students ready to take the next step in their careers. Do not miss the opportunity to engage with motivated Vandals who are eager to contribute and make an impact within your company. Secure your table and meet your future hires or students.

    Career Fair interviews

Employers may conduct interviews during in-person fairs; this is an optional activity and Career Services does not guarantee private rooms or space.

The day after Fall and Spring fairs, Career Services organizes interviews on campus. Indicate your interest in post-fair interviews on your registration to secure space. Our staff will check students in and direct them to a general waiting area where interviewers will greet them when ready. Career Services works to provide satisfactory interview space, but privacy may not be guaranteed in large rooms.

Fall and Spring registrations include the cost of one interview table for the day after the fair. Reserve additional day-after interviewing tables for $25 each when registering.

    Non-payments and late payments

A late payment fee of $75 in addition to the invoice total will be enforced if payment for the career fair is not received two weeks prior to day of the Career Fair.  Career Services recognizes some government agencies are not allowed to pay prior to participating in events, please make prior payment arrangements with employer relations staff.

    Cancellations

Cancellation requests sent to careerservices@uidaho.edu or amberg@uidaho.edu at least two weeks prior to the fair date will be fully refunded.  Cancellations within this two-week period will not receive a refund.  Failure to pay your invoice will not result in a withdrawn registration for this Career Fair. However, the outstanding amount must be paid before you can register for any future events.  This policy is due to booth holds, facility use payments and meal counts required by campus services already in process for the fair.

    No-shows

Any no-show who does not contact Career Services to cancel their registration will be responsible for the full registration amount plus a $50 administrative fee.  Future fair registrations will be held pending until payment is received.
