    CALS ambassador program

The CALS Ambassador program was the first of its kind at U of I and continues to be the largest college ambassador team on campus. The team consists of current students in the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences who are selected to represent the college and its programs at events on and off campus. Ambassadors are students with outstanding achievement and leadership potential who share their knowledge and enthusiasm with prospective students.

Ambassadors engage in a wide range of activities representing CALS and its programs at events such as CALS Days, Envision Idaho and UIdaho Bound, as well as traveling to regional, state and national conventions, and high school agricultural and science classrooms in Idaho and neighboring states. Ambassadors receive scholarships and academic credit for the critical role they play in supporting recruitment efforts.

Contact the Academic Programs office to learn more about the CALS ambassador program

    Funds for student activities

CALS students can request funds from the college for activities that enhance the student experience. To get more information about funding for undergraduate research, travel for professional development or conferences, events or other CALS related activities, contact the Academic Programs office.
