Community Accountability
In fraternity and sorority life there are many forms of accountability through multiple reporting structures. The Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life works with many campus partners to support the accountability efforts across each avenue. Each of the following entities are unique and adjudicate a specific set of policies. At a glance, these are:

Violation Types
Health and Safety: Violations or concerns regarding Risk Management, Alcohol/Drugs, or Hazing
Academic: Chapter falls below North-American Interfraternity Conference, National Panhellenic Conference, or individual organization standards
Financial: Organization is in financial default with their inter/national executive office or the university
Status Definitions
Disciplinary Probation: serves to notify an organization that it must avoid any further violations for a specified period of time in order to avoid additional disciplinary action. Chapters on probation are not in good standing with the university.
Deferred Suspension: a status for a specified period of time during which any subsequent finding of responsibility for a violation of the Code of Student Organization Conduct or any other university policy may result in the outcome of Suspension
Suspended: a status that includes, but is not limited to, the revocation of the university's recognition of the organization for a stated or an indeterminate period of time, cessation of university funding, restriction of all operations at the university and restriction of use of university resources.
