Jonas Oatman, a Nez Perce student who came to U of I through Tribal Nations Student Affairs’ Indigenous Nation Scholars Training for Excellence Program (INSTEP), is pictured at the Native American Student Center with Dakota Kidder, program coordinator for Tribal Nations Student Affairs, on Thursday, June 25, 2026. After graduating in Spring ’26 with a BS in Computer Science and a BS in Mathematics, Oatman will be continuing at the U of I for a master's in computer science.
