Students

At the Center for Disability Access and Resources (CDAR), our goal is to provide services and support to ensure students are able to access and participate in the opportunities available at the University of Idaho.

Students are asked to notify CDAR as soon as possible to discuss disability-related concerns and needs. Call 208-885-6307 or email cdar@uidaho.edu.

Available Accommodations

Students may take exams at the CDAR office. Accommodations may vary for each individual depending on the nature of the disability and the documentation provided to CDAR.

An Access Consultant is on staff to work with students with disabilities that affect academic achievement, memory, concentration or cognition (e.g.: LD, ADD/ADHD, or psychological disabilities).

Students with documented disabilities that interfere with their ability to take notes in class may receive access accommodation for notetaking.

Students can request interpreters for better access to academic programs, events and services at the university.

Alternative text provides students with vision or reading disabilities alternatives to standard printed text. Accommodations are provided to students with a documented print disability.
