Free Online Tutoring is available by appointment.
If you would like to access a tutor for any of the courses on our schedule, please follow the process below to request an appointment. Online access to tutoring can be established during the times the course is supported at Vandal Drop-In Tutoring, so please check the schedule first. Our tutors have availability beyond their regularly scheduled hours to take appointments, but those hours are available at a first come, first served basis. It is possible to schedule an online appointment with a tutor that will meet at the same time every week, but we do limit the appointments to one hour per subject with a tutor.
To request an appointment:
- Verify that the course you want to access is currently available by checking the schedule.
- Email Dale Mommer at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please request the subject that you would like to be tutored and your availability (Monday-Sunday) that you could meet for a one hour tutoring appointment. Indicate in your email if there is a day and time that works the best for you, if you need help with more than just one subject, and any special requests for tutoring. We will do our best to accommodate you and provide you with the online help that you need. You may also stop by the second-floor of the library to inquire about making appointment during our drop-in hours of 3 to 8 p.m.
- Dale will email you a link to your Online Tutoring session.
Online Tutoring is supported through Zoom. All students at the University of Idaho have access to Zoom at no additional charge. The first time you access the software, you may be prompted to complete a brief download. If you do not have internet access, a phone number can be provided to you for audio connection with a tutor. If you do have internet access, please ensure you have a speaker connected to your device.
