Academic Coaching
What is Academic Coaching?
Academic Coaching is an interactive process that focuses on building a supportive academic relationship between the student and coach. Together with a coach, students examine their learning styles, habits of working, and current difficulties or barriers to success. Coaches work with students one-on-one to ensure individualized attention and areas for growth. Students have the opportunity to meet with coaches, to gain skills to understand the process of learning, and to become lifelong learners.
All University of Idaho students can talk directly with the Academic Coaches either through phone, Zoom conferencing, or other preferred mode of communication. Please schedule your appointment online through vandalstar.uidaho.edu or by emailing acadcoaching@uidaho.edu. When scheduling on VandalStar, please select whether you’d like to meet over the phone or through Zoom. Once your appointment has been confirmed, an Academic Coach will contact you with further instructions. Academic Coaching has got your back and can help you navigate the many resources available to you.
