Undergraduate Research

CNR offers a $2,000 stipend for one year which can be used for data collection/analysis, research supplies, course fees, field work, compensation or presentation costs. Undergraduates have the opportunity to conduct research alongside leading faculty and graduate students, and build their resume with experience and skills highly valued by employers and graduate schools.

Eligibility applies to all new first-year and incoming transfer students in the College of Natural Resources who are:

  • Studying full-time at the University of Idaho (12 credit minimum)
  • Enrolled prior to applying for the Undergraduate Research Experience
  • Able to make a one-year commitment
