Accreditation

The Landscape Architecture Accrediting Board (LAAB) is the accrediting agency for landscape architecture degree programs. LAAB accredited the new Master of Landscape Architecture degree program in Summer 2012. This accreditation status applies to the M.L.A. Seamless degree as well as the Three Year M.L.A. for students who have a baccalaureate degree in a discipline other than landscape architecture.

A landscape architecture degree has been offered by the University of Idaho for over 40 years with an accredited undergraduate BLA degree in place from 1975 - 2011. Graduates of this program practice worldwide and have made exceptional contributions to the profession of landscape architecture and allied design fields.

The BSED/MLA degree enables students to participate extensively in the Art and Design Core of the College or Art and Architecture, integrate emerging technologies more effectively in the professional curriculum, increase students exposure to the natural sciences, and engage students more fully in the scholarship of landscape architecture and allied disciplines.

We look forward to continuing our role as a national leader in professional design education, in outreach to state and regional communities and the opportunities these bring to our current and future students.
