Design for the future

Center for Resilient Communities
The Center for Resilient Communities (CRC) was established in 2014 to address issues that affect the resilience of communities in Idaho and the Western United States through the development and application of social-ecological systems science. CRC’s work extends CAA’s impact well beyond campus with an ongoing collaboration with the United States Department of Homeland Security and by directly supporting national research priority areas.
Integrated Design Lab
The Integrated Design Lab (IDL) is dedicated to the development of high-performance buildings in the Intermountain West with emphasis on energy efficiency, comfort and enhancing the health and productivity of inhabitants. The IDL is helping to ensure that all of Boise’s new buildings and major developments are carbon neutral by 2030, as per the 2030 Challenge.
