Army ROTC cadet Sophia Fischer is photographed inside the Memorial Gymnasium building on Tuesday, January 20, 2026. Fischer, a history and psychology major who grew up in Germany, serves as commander of the Chrisman Battalion and will be commissioned as an Army officer when she graduates in May.

    Upcoming ski days

    When Vandals hit the slopes, it’s always a Vandal Ski Day!

    Jan. 23-24 — Lookout Pass

    Join your Vandal friends and family for a fun-filled weekend on the slopes at Lookout Pass. We’ll start by meeting up on Friday afternoon, Jan. 23, to kick off two days of connection, fun and skiing at this beautiful recreation area on the Idaho-Montana border.

    Friday schedule 

    • 2:30 p.m. — Meet in Mullan at The Outlaw for a no-host gathering with great food and drinks.
    • 6:30 p.m. — Head to The 1313 as we meet up with the Drum and Bugle Corps, who will lead us through Wallace for our annual 21+ Pub Crawl. 

    Lodging — Special Vandal rates are available at The Wallace Inn: 

    • $130 for a single bed room
    • $150 for a two queen beds room 

    Saturday 

    • Meet up with fellow Vandals on the mountain for another fantastic day of skiing. 
    February 21 — Brundage Mountain

    Rock your silver and gold, grab your lift tickets early (they sell out fast!) and get ready for an unforgettable day on the mountain.

    Saturday schedule

    • 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. — Join us for a slope-side break at the bottom of Easy Street run for free BBQ and Vandal swag.

    Find us at the Vandal tent and flags. You can’t miss it!

    March 1 — Bogus Basin 

    Get ready for an unforgettable Vandal Ski Day at Bogus Basin. Join fellow Vandals for a full day on the mountain. Whether you’re carving turns or just soaking up the vibes, this is one ski day you won’t want to miss.  

    Sunday schedule

    • Noon to 2 p.m. — Find the Alumni Relations team in the Buttercup lot for a free barbeque! Enjoy burgers, hot dogs, chips and a cookie, or bring your own lunch and connect with fellow Vandals. Be sure to pick up some free Vandal swag, too.  

    Lunch is free, but you’ll need to buy your own lift tickets at the mountain or the downtown sales office at 2600 N. Bogus Basin Road in Boise. Lifts open at 9 a.m.

    • Full-day tickets: open to close
    • Half-day tickets: 1 p.m. to close
    • Night tickets: 4 p.m. to close. 
    March 1 — Pomerelle Mountain Resort

    Suit up in your silver and gold and join fellow Vandals for an unforgettable day on the mountain.

    Sunday schedule

    • 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. — Join us in the parking lot for free lunch and swag. Just look for the Vandal flag—you won’t miss it! Lunch will be available on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.

    We can’t wait to see you on the mountain.
