    Order your graduation regalia

Graduation day is not complete without the traditional cap and gown that signifies this important event. Let’s get you what you need to look your best as you celebrate your exceptional achievement.

Academic regalia, commonly called caps and gowns, is required when participating in University of Idaho commencement ceremonies. Tassel and hood colors are color-coded for your specific major. Please see the regalia colors list to order accordingly.

Order your regalia online through Jostens.

The deadline for ordering all regalia (bachelors, masters, law, doctorates and faculty) is 5 p.m. Pacific time, Friday, April 3, 2026. On the Jostens page under Flexible Payment Options, use the drop-down list to select Student Homeship Spring 2026.

Bachelors and masters gowns ordered through Jostens will be delivered directly to the graduate.

Doctorates and faculty rental gowns will be available for pick up from 8-5 p.m., May 11-15, at Alumni Relations, Hays Hall, 1212 Blake Avenue in Moscow.  On the Jostens page under Flexible Payment Options, use the drop-down list to select either Student OFFICIAL RENTAL DOCTOR or Faculty Rental. Rentals must be returned to Hays Hall before 5 p.m. Friday, May 22. Rentals are due back no later than a week after the ceremony.

Juris doctorate (Law) rental gowns will be distributed by the College of Law in Moscow and Boise. Rentals are due back no later than a week after the location’s ceremony.

Questions? See the FAQ below or email alumni-regalia@uidaho.edu. Please include your major and what ceremony location you will be attending so we can better assist you.
