    Ag Talk Tuesday

    Ag Talk Tuesdays are virtual sessions about agriculture with University of Idaho professionals and peers to discuss current crop issues and timely topics as the field season progresses.

    Held the first and third Tuesday from May through August via Zoom (registration required).

    Every session begins with crop updates, where U of I personnel and attendees are invited to provide the group with updates of current season crop issues. Featured topics and guest speakers follow the round-table crop updates.

    • May 5 — Water update for Idaho agriculture; speaker David Hoekema, Idaho Department of Water Resources
    • May 19 — Where does the water really end up? Co-producing actionable water use knowledge with Idaho irrigators; speaker Meetpal Kukal, University of Idaho hydrologic science and water management
    • June 2 — Creating beneficial arthropod habitats on farms; speakers Bradley Johnson and Blake Mathews of The Nature Conservancy
    • June 16 — What's up with herbicide resistant weeds; speaker Albert Adjesiwor, University of Idaho Extension specialist and weed scientist
    • July 7 —
    • July 21 — The soilborne wheat mosaic virus situation; speaker Kurtis Schroeder, University of Idaho Extension specialist and cropping systems agronomist
