Fulbright Gateway Orientation

Aug. 27-31, 2018

This activity is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs as part of its Fulbright Program, the U.S. government’s flagship international exchange program supported by the people of the United States and partner countries around the world. For more information, visit http://www.eca.state.gov/Fulbright.

This activity is administered by the Institute of International Education (IIE).

Welcome to the Fulbright Gateway Orientation at the University of Idaho! This is the first step to what we are certain will become one of great experiences in your life – being a participant in the Fulbright program. This orientation will introduce you to various aspects of US social traditions and culture and will provide you with skills to successfully navigate university life. As a bonus, you will get to experience a region of the US that National Geographic Magazine has termed a paradise called the Palouse!

For your orientation, we have assembled a team of faculty, scholars and staff from the University of Idaho to participate and present. Many of these presenters are alumni of the Fulbright program. Below is a list of the activities and informational sessions available to you during the orientation.
