International Programs Office
Welcome to the International Programs Office (IPO) at the University of Idaho! The IPO staff in International Services and Education Abroad are passionate about transforming lives and supporting a globally engaged university community. To learn more about your international opportunities, visit the International Programs Office located in Living Learning Community Building 3.
International Services supports international Vandals and their dependents on F, J and employment visas by providing advising on immigration and cultural topics and by organizing events and activities to promote engagement and development within the campus community.
Education Abroad assists U of I students in their planning and participation in study, internship and service experiences abroad. Education Abroad develops and manages international agreements, policies and procedures, and oversees risk management and emergency response. Education Abroad also oversees National Student Exchange and U of I’s international travel registration for students, faculty and staff.
iVandal is an immigration compliance portal used by International Services to manage and maintain immigration status. iVandal tracks immigration records, sends reminders about important deadlines, and securely stores uploaded documents. Throughout your time at the University of Idaho, you will need to regularly submit information and requests through iVandal to maintain your visa status.
The University of Idaho requires Faculty, Staff, and students to register university-affiliated international travel to manage emergencies and track data.
