    On-campus event and performance venues

    University of Idaho offers a diverse range of event and performance venues designed to accommodate everything from large conferences and formal gatherings to intimate performances and outdoor celebrations. Our event and performance venues offer excellent amenities, convenient locations and welcoming atmospheres for a variety of occasions.

    Event and conference spaces

    Our campus features premier event spaces like the Bruce Pitman Center and University House, ideal for large conferences, workshops, receptions and private university events.

    Bruce Pitman Center

    Located on the eastern edge of campus, the Bruce M. Pitman Center is a hub for university and community activities. Spanning three floors, it offers six versatile meeting rooms of various sizes, student and employee services, study lounges and event spaces suitable for lectures, receptions and entertainment. The Pitman Center is designed to foster collaboration, learning and community connection.

    University House

    The University House, completed in 2019, is the official residence of the University of Idaho president and a unique venue for intimate gatherings for university employees and affiliates. This elegant space blends residential comfort with professional hospitality, surrounded by the scenic arboretum. It’s the perfect setting for small receptions, dinners and university-hosted events — a warm welcome for all Vandals.

    Performance spaces

    University of Idaho’s performance facilities support a rich variety of cultural, educational, and artistic events. From historic auditoriums to modern music halls and intimate theaters, these venues provide outstanding acoustics, cutting-edge technology and comfortable seating for audiences and performers alike.

    Administration Building Auditorium

    The Administration Auditorium is a historic landmark on campus, offering fixed theater seating for 450 guests. This venue is ideal for lectures, chamber and jazz concerts, guest speakers and small theatrical productions. Its classic ambiance makes it a favored choice for a variety of campus events.

    Haddock Performance Hall

    Located within the Lionel Hampton School of Music, Haddock Performance Hall is a state-of-the-art concert hall featuring updated acoustics, lighting and climate control. This 3,100-square-foot venue hosts classes, recitals, concerts and performances year-round, supporting a vibrant musical community.

    Hartung Theater

    The 417-seat Hartung Theater is one of the main stages for academic theater productions and community events at U of I. Its semi-thrust proscenium stage features modern lighting, sound equipment and a fully renovated fly system. The theater also offers extensive backstage facilities including set and costume shops, dressing rooms and prop storage.

    Shattuck Amphitheater

    Nestled adjacent to the Shattuck Arboretum and Physical Education Building, the Shattuck Amphitheater is an inviting outdoor venue perfect for concerts, lectures, weddings, barbecues and other community events. Surrounded by natural beauty, it offers a unique setting to connect with nature while enjoying live entertainment or special occasions.
