Project Title:
Responding to Industry Needs for Aquifer Testing
Abstract
One of the most fundamental field tests in groundwater hydrology is the constant rate aquifer pumping test. Constant rate aquifer tests are used to estimate transmissivity and storativity, identify aquifer boundaries, and check for recharge and other aspects of groundwater flow. A common task for project hydrogeologists is to design, budget, and field such a test. Here, we demonstrate one approach to developing a bid for a 24-hour constant rate test that will be conducted October 21--22, 2020, in the University of Idaho Groundwater Field Laboratory.
