Establishing Institutes and Centers
The University of Idaho is home to many institutes, centers, programs and more. These entities vary in structure and purpose, but they all provide focal points for scholarly activity, research and creative endeavors, as well as outreach, engagement, teaching and learning.
The Office of Research and Economic Development facilitates a formal process for establishing, operating and closing entities that fall under its purview. This process exists to help the university strategically and efficiently use its resources to support world-class scholarly activity.
