Information for Students

The Student Dashboard

Click here to access your student dashboard to see course evaluation status for any class you are enrolled in.

When a student logs into the Course Evaluations website, they are first presented with a list of course sections that they are currently enrolled in that are part of an administration.

From there, it is very easy to access and complete surveys. Students will see the number of days until the survey closes, along with the course information.

Other Dashboard Features

  • Completed Survey List – shows the student their history of completed surveys, beginning with Fall 2021 semester
  • Missed Survey List – shows the student their history of surveys they did not complete, beginning with Fall 2021 semester

Editing Your Response

Students may edit their responses to the course evaluation survey at any time BEFORE the survey closes. Once it has closed, responses are final.

To change an answer, go to your Course Evaluation student dashboard and select Surveys > Completed Surveys. Click edit for the survey, make your changes, and resubmit. You must resubmit the new answer(s) or the change will not be recorded. Once a change has been resubmitted, only the new answer(s) are recorded.

The video below shows how to do this at approximately the 2:35 minute mark.

Student Confidentiality

Students are not identifiable in the reports or data available to faculty or report administrators. When a student submits a course evaluation, his or her identity is not included with the response. Faculty only see the responses, but not the student’s identity. Students should be mindful that should they choose to self-identify themselves in an answer to an open-response question, it could jeopardize their confidentiality for that question.

Automatic Emails to Students

All students enrolled in a course, will receive an automated email when a course opens for evaluation, to their official University of Idaho email account. The email will include a link and instructions for the course evaluation, and the date when the evaluation window closes.

During an open course evaluation window, students will receive periodic reminder emails. These will continue until the student completes the course evaluation, or the course evaluation window closes.

Once the course evaluation window closes, it is not possible to reopen it for additional responses. Students who miss the open evaluation period may still choose to send feedback directly to the instructor, department, or college.
