Native Plant Landscaping: Curb Appeal and Low Water Use

BUL1010

February 23, 2022

Many property owners don't fully realize that native plants are economical and effective solutions for use in landscape design, particularly since Idaho's climate is so weather-dependent. This guide gently introduces you to some of the design issues involved for native-plant-based waterwise residential landscapes, in various contexts: the backyard, along streams and lakes, and home landscape design in general. The design ideas it might spark in you might decrease water costs and/or potentially improve aquifer and groundwater levels. A handy and printable checklist more easily helps you to identify your design goals, site type, etc. as you plan out your design.
