Natural Resource Camp

Come to the beautiful Sawtooth National Recreation Area, one of our nation’s premier backcountry playgrounds and stay in rustic cabins with new friends. Eat in a historic log lodge. Learn about Idaho’s magnificent natural resources and recreate in the forests and meadows of the dazzling Boulder Mountains.

Applications for the 2023 Natural Resource Camp are now being accepted. Don’t miss out on your chance to participate in an extraordinary experience.

Who should attend?

If you are 12 to 16 years old or are a schoolteacher who wants to learn about our natural environment, and how to protect it and use it wisely, this camp is for you.

Dates:

Camp starts at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, June 19, 2023 goes until 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 24, 2023 (times are Mountain Daylight Time). Please Do Not arrive Early. The camp staff is preparing for registration and no supervision will be available.

Location:

Central Idaho 4-H Camp, Ketchum, Idaho.

  • The camp entrance is 17 miles north of Ketchum on Highway 75 at signpost 146.
  • Follow the road approximately 1.2 miles into camp.

Transportation:

Getting to and from camp will be the parent’s responsibility. Please arrive promptly. Activities begin soon after campers arrive.

Cost:

  • Students: $280 and due by Friday, May 26, 2023.
  • Teachers: $280 and due by Friday, May 26, 2023.

There will be no refunds for cancellations after June 5, 2022. Cancellations before June 5, 2022 will be refunded in the amount of the registration fee less 15%. Registration fees include food, lodging and medical insurance. They do not include transportation to and from the camp, or fee for graduate credit.
