Family and consumer sciences programs work to improve the quality of life of adults, children and families — specifically through healthy lifestyles, nutrition, food safety and financial management.

Family life development
- Married and Loving it — this marriage enrichment program includes a series of seven workshops.
- Basic Parenting — this five-class workshop focuses on parenting young children.
- FOCCUS — this program includes a premartial inventory.

Food safety
The home preserving course includes a series of five workshops focused on all aspects of home food preservation. We also offer hands-on workshops focused on specific topics, like jams and jellies, pickling, applesauce, freezer jam, wild game and vegetable preservation. We also offer a handwashing workshop for pre-K through elementary students.
