    Join us for a 60-minute walking tour led by our knowledgeable Vandal REPS tour guides. Stroll through our beautiful campus, discover key student spaces and get an insider’s look at what it’s like to live and learn at University of Idaho. This is your chance to experience Vandal life firsthand!

    8-9:45 a.m. — Academic Information and Resource Fair

    Enjoy a cup of coffee while connecting with our colleges and departments to explore U of I’s programs, resources and opportunities. It’s the perfect chance to ask questions, meet faculty and discover how we support your academic journey!

    8:45-9:15 a.m. — Investing in your Future
    Pitman Center, Borah Theater, 2nd Floor
    Discover the many ways to make your education at University of Idaho affordable. This session covers scholarships, financial aid and smart strategies for paying for college, helping you invest in a future that’s both bright and financially sustainable.

    Kick off your day with a warm welcome and an introduction to life at University of Idaho.     College of Natural Resources — Using drones in resource management

    Drones are more than just toys—they’re powerful tools used in natural resource research and management. Today, drones help with mapping, surveying, monitoring wildlife, managing forests and rangelands and even fighting wildfires. In this hands-on session, you’ll learn how University of Idaho uses drones in real-world projects. You’ll also see some of the drones from the U of I Drone Lab and learn about opportunities for students to gain experience flying and working with drones while studying at U of I.

    College of Natural Resources — How recreation impacts that land

    Explore how activities like hiking and heavy foot traffic can affect soil and plant life. In this hands-on session, you’ll use scientific tools to measure soil compaction and see how repeated trampling changes soil structure. You’ll also observe how vegetation and topsoil can be disturbed by recreation. By testing how easily water moves through different soils, you’ll discover how human activity can impact ecosystems while getting hands-on experience with real research methods used by scientists.

    College of Natural Resources — Wildlife tracking

    Ever wondered how scientists find animals once they disappear into the wild? In this hands-on session, you’ll use radio receivers and Yagi antennas—the same tools wildlife biologists use—to track animals “tagged” with radio transmitters roaming the great steppe of the Idaho soccer fields. Radio telemetry helps scientists study animal movements, migration patterns and where animals go to find food or raise their young. Come test your tracking skills and see how biologists study wildlife in action!

    College of Science — Don’t just study science, DO science

    Are you fascinated by new discoveries? Have you thought about a career in medicine?  Space exploration? Mining or geology? Data science? Do you think about the world’s problems and wonder how you can help solve them? Learn about undergraduate research opportunities in the College of Science and hear from current students who are already making a difference. Includes a stop at the Northern Branch of the Idaho Museum of Natural History, located here on campus.

    • College of Agricultural and Life Sciences — Farm Tour
      Join us to explore the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences farm facilities including the Sixth Street Greenhouses, Seed Potato Germplasm Lab, Beef Center, Vandal Brand Meats, Steer-a-Year Feedlot, Soil Stewards Farm, Dairy Center and Sheep Center.
    • College of Education, Health and Human Sciences Sciences Tour
      Join us for in-depth exploration and one-on-one conversations to learn more about EHHS!
    • College of Science Tour
      Join us to explore several of our research spaces, including a Physics lab working at the microcellular level, a tree ring laboratory using data to understand climate change and a biology lab researching antifungal proteins.
    • Engineer Like a Vandal!
      Explore the laboratories, classrooms and engineering buildings at the College of Engineering. See where students design their capstone projects, practice hands-on engineering concepts, build steel bridges and baja vehicles in their student organizations. There are lots of ways to engage in engineering, so come join us for a tour!
    • Theatre Arts Tour — Behind the Curtain
      Explore the vibrant world of Theatre Arts by taking a behind-the-scenes look at the Hartung Theatre. Learn about how to become involved in University of Idaho theatre productions and/ or a future in acting, directing, dramatic writing, design and technology!

    All tours depart from Pitman Center Veranda. Last tour departs at 2:30 p.m.

    Moscow Fire Station 3, 229 Pintail Lane, Moscow
