    Find answers to our most frequently asked questions 

    Here are Elevate students’ most common questions. This page should answer most of your questions regarding transcripts, accounts, courses, and grades, but if not, please contact us at elevate@uidaho.edu. The following information can also be used for pre-approval purposes.

    Course and credit questions

    Are these graduate-level credits? 

    Yes. Elevate Teacher Professional Development courses are graduate-level, non-degree semester credits.

    Will these PD credits be accepted by my school district and/or state? 

    It is your responsibility to ensure that your district and/or state department of education will accept Elevate PD courses. Please seek pre-approval from your school district and/or state department of education prior to registering to ensure the credits will be accepted. We do not offer refunds and are not responsible if your district/state does not accept these credits. 

    Should your district or state department of education require a time log of your hours spent in the course, you can find the Elevate Teacher Professional Development Course time tracking log linked in the syllabus section of your course.     How do I access my PD course(s)? 

    You will receive an email with instructions on accessing your course after you register and pay. You will access your course through Canvas.  

    Can I use AI while completing the courses? 

    Please refer to the Elevate PD Student AI Use Policy.  

    How much does a course cost? 

    Elevate Teacher PD courses are $50/credit. There are no hidden or additional fees for self-paced, online courses.  

    Can I receive a refund for my courses? 

    We do not offer refunds. You are responsible for ensuring credits awarded by Elevate PD will be accepted by your district/state department of education. This policy is acknowledged at checkout.  

    Grade and transcript questions

    How do I request my transcript?

    To request your transcript for all courses registered for on or after January 1, 2024, please refer to the Transcript Request page.  

    If you registered for courses prior to January 1, 2024, please request your transcript from the Registrar’s office.  

    When will my course be graded? 

    You must be enrolled in the course for 14 days before the course can be marked complete. Your course will be automatically graded after you have completed the coursework AND after at least 14 days have passed.  

    Are these courses graded with letter grades? 

    We do not grade with letter grades. Our grading system is Pass/Fail (P/F). P (Pass) indicates that the course was completed with the equivalent to a letter grade B or higher.  

    Is this PD transcript an official University of Idaho transcript? 

    Yes. Professional development credits are transcribed on an official University of Idaho transcript that is signed by the professional education registrar.  

    General questions

    Is University of Idaho accredited?

    Yes. University of Idaho is accredited through the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU).  

    What are your semester dates? 
    • Fall semester: September 1 – December 31  
    • Spring semester: January 1 – May 31  
    • Summer semester: June 1 – August 31  
    Do I need to be admitted as a student at University of Idaho to take PD courses? 

    No. Admission to University of Idaho is not required, and students will not need to pay a university application fee in order to register and enroll in professional development courses from Elevate Teacher PD, as these are non-degree credits.

    Will I receive an IRS 1098-T form? 

    Elevate PD courses do not qualify for a 1098-T form because these are non-degree credits.

    Do you have a privacy policy?

    Yes. Please refer to University of Idaho’s Privacy Statement.  

    I have a disability. How do I apply for an accommodation?  

    Please contact the Center for Disability Access and Resources if you need accommodations.
